Our four-part Data Use Training provides an in-depth introduction to the information we are particularly known for—the detailed and reliable locality data (“element occurrences”) that document the precise locations of rare and endangered species.
Completion of this tutorial is required for those with access to precise species location information.
Features & Benefits
The Data Use Training is designed for NatureServe clients who have access to precise species location information from our National Species Dataset under the terms of a Data License Agreement. It ensures that you fully understand and can more effectively use the data you receive under your agreement.
The tutorial includes four separate segments that can be taken individually, but should be taken in order. Each session concludes with a brief quiz on the material covered.
Upon successful completion of all four segments, you will be registered as a Certified Data User.
