InfoNatura reports the relative imperilment, or conservation status, of species on a global level. For species occurring in North America, InfoNatura includes NatureServe conservation status ranks based on the system developed by NatureServe, The Nature Conservancy and the Natural Heritage Network. InfoNatura also reports IUCN Red List categories and CITES status for all species. The IUCN categories were developed under the Red List Programme, of which NatureServe is a contributing partner.
