BCD
BCD2HDMS conversion QCs--not for the faint of heart. If you want to run some preliminary QCs on your BCD data in anticipation of the Biotics 4 installation/upgrade, download the latest package from this ftp site and follow the instructions to the letter. This ftp site will be regularly updated with the latest QC package (and hopefully progressively friendlier versions of it). At this time, the software is applicable only for BCD Systems. However, the package includes some QC documentation that may be applicable to non-BCD Systems.
BCD
NOTE - This QC program was written to assist with preparing for the migration to Biotics 3.1. Not all of the QCs contained in this program are incorporated in the BCD2HDMS program above, so it is recommended that you also run these QCs if you have not done so already.

This file contains batch commands (VOCs) to run in BCD. The accompanying readme and MS Word document explain how to install, run, and examine the results of the program. The process will run Select statements on BCD files to flag records which need to be fixed in order to be imported in Oracle tables in Biotics.
ArcView
This file contains an ArcView extension which provides tools for an automated Quality Control (QC) of the spatial values in BCD and spatial reference themes acquired or prepared for use in Biotics. It is designed to work on either point or polygon themes. It will check attributes for which you have both a GIS shapefile or coverage, and values recorded in BCD, by comparing the BCD values to those in the GIS theme. The accompanying ReadMe file describes how to use the extension and suggestions for interpreting the results.
