What’s New in Our Latest Release

Version 2.6 contains numerous feature upgrades and some new functionality including:

• Version 2.6 is now fully compatible with ArcMap 10
• The 64 bit platform has greatly increased Vista’s speed and ability to handle much larger planning regions. Medium-sized US states, ecoregions, and large watersheds are now more feasible with NatureServe Vista 2.6. During testing, we successfully ran projects with boundaries of 65,000 square miles (168,349 km??) and larger maintaining a 30m raster cell size.
• We’ve corrected known errors and bugs in the Site Explorer and the conservation element “Edit Multiple” Functions in this version. Users can now edit element properties for Confidence in Distribution and Cell Size Conversion.
• Vista 2.6 is compatible with Marxan 2.1.1. The “generate solutions” function is a wizard-style process to create the input files necessary to run Marxan. The user can also import Marxan results using the “capture results” function and incorporate the results into Vista’s assessment and planning process.
