NatureServe was incorporated in 1999 as a Washington, District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporation that provides the scientific basis for effective conservation action. NatureServe is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is a publicly supported organization as defined in Sections 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) and 509(a). Donations are tax-deductible.
