NatureServe appreciates your interest in exploring ways with us to meet your philanthropic goals.

NatureServe and its network of 80 natural heritage programs envision a world where people recognize and value the importance of biodiversity, and where the information and expertise of the NatureServe network is relied upon to understand and effectively conserve the diversity of life on Earth. NatureServe believes that knowledge, well-applied, leads to better conservation decisions. Access to reliable information about species and ecosystems allows decision-makers -- governments, corporations, landowners, and conservation groups -- to do their best to protect these resources even while pursuing their business goals.

As a corporate funder, private foundation grant-maker, or individual donor, your support enables NatureServe and its network of 80 natural heritage programs to fulfill its mission as the nation's leader in providing scientific information and tools to help guide effective conservation action. Over the past year and thanks to our funders, we accomplished the following:
  • Mapping Habitats for Endemic Species in South America
NatureServe implemented a comprehensive project to map ecological systems and species of Peru and Bolivia. This project has identified previously unrecognized centers of endemism. Learn more.
  • Delivering Online Access to Biodiversity Data via Web Services
NatureServe has developed a new system for delivering biodiversity data more efficiently on the Internet. Our "Web Services" system lets the software applications of our data users directly query and download the biodiversity data holdings of NatureServe and our network of member programs. Learn more.
  • Website Launched for EBM Tools Network
NatureServe developed and launched the EBM Tools Network website (www.ebmtools.org) to an overwhelmingly positive response from scientists, planners, and coastal land managers throughout North America. Learn more.
  • The following information will assist you in assessing which of NatureServe’s programs meet your philanthropic needs. Specifically, you can learn more about the various program sponsorships, grant-making opportunities, associated benefits, current list of funders, and who to contact.
