I need to submit an agenda with my request to register for the conference. When will an agenda be available?
Preliminary agendas are now available: NatureServe Conservation Conference agenda and Southeast Natural Heritage Conference agenda. While there may be changes in who presents when, the overall content of the agenda should not change between now and the conference.
I'm submitting a poster for the conference. What do I need to know?

Which registration type do I qualify for?
- Member/Staff: Employees of natural heritage programs, conservation data centers, and NatureServe.
- Member Leadership Level: Employees of natural heritage programs and conservation data centers whose programs pay NatureServe membership dues at the Leadership level and are up to date on their 2009 dues payments, receive a discounted registration fee for their 2nd – 5th registrations.
- General/Partner: All other attendees, including employees of federal and state agencies, and other nonprofit/conservation organizations.
What does "Badge Name" mean?
This is the name we will put on the name badge we provide you at the conference, to accommodate those attendees who go by a name (a nickname or middle name) other than their full first name. For example, if your name is Margaret Jones, but you prefer to be called "Peggy," put "Peggy Jones" in the Badge Name field.
When do I actually sign up for the field trips?
Our field trips are very nearly set—we're working out the last of the logistics now. As soon as we do, we'll follow up with you directly via email to confirm your spot and process any related fees. Watch your email and stay tuned to natureserve.org for more information!
Not every meal is listed in the registration form. Does that mean I'm on my own for some?
Yes. We have arranged for most meals to be provided at the conference center, so attendees can dine as a group. The exceptions are dinner Tuesday (after the reception, which will offer hors d'oeuvres), and lunch and dinner on Wednesday, though box lunches will be provided for those participating in Wednesday's field trips. Attendees are encouraged to explore Austin with their conference colleagues for those "missing" meals.
I won't be staying at the Omni, but I would like to participate in meals at the conference. How do I indicate this in the registration form?
Simply check off the meals you'd like to participate in under the "Event Fees" section, then under "Lodging & Travel" select the appropriate answers to the Omni/alternate lodging questions.
I'd like to share a room, if possible—how does that work?
We collect a list of everyone who indicates "Roommate Needed" in their registration form, then share the contact information between parties on the list, so you can 'talk amongst yourselves' to work out room-sharing strategies.
A colleague and I are planning on sharing a hotel room. Why do you need to know that?
Our conference coordinator, Pat Leighty, works hard to help make sure everyone's all set with their arrangements for the conference. By knowing who's rooming with whom, she can rest assured that everyone actually has a hotel room, and help those who don't get one! Also, in case of a cancellation by one person, she can help notify their roommate and help that person connect with another potential roommate.
My agency will not allow me to pay by credit card—I need you to invoice me. What do I do?
You must pay by credit card if you can. If it's absolutely necessary that we invoice you, please contact , and she'll help you through the payment process.
I need to pay my registration fee with one credit card, but put my meals and field trip fees on another. What do I do?
This is a little tricky, so please try to avoid it if you can at all do so. If not, contact for assistance.
I started to register, but don't have all the information I need to complete the process. Can I save what I've done so far?
No, but yes! The registration system does not allow you to save an incomplete registration form; however, you may submit an incomplete form, then go back in later and edit it.
Will my registration fees be refunded if I need to cancel later?
We'd sure hate for you not miss out, but we understand that sometimes cancelling is unavoidable. The amount, if any, of your refund depends on when you cancel your registration. See our Cancellation Policy for details.
