A Biotics training course will be held April 17 & 18, 2008 in conjunction with the West Region Natural Heritage Conference. See Biotics training site for further information and a link to the online registration. For questions, contact Whitney Weber, 703-908-1875.
Intermediate Biotics training, intended for ALL Biotics users, includes demonstrations as well as Hands-On Training. We expect topics covered during this training to be of interest to anyone who uses Tracker and Mapper. You do not need to be an administrator to take this course; administrative functionality will not be covered. We HIGHLY recommend that future attendees of Advanced Biotics Training take this course first. Training topics include understanding the Biotics data model, writing SQL queries, accessing Oracle data in Mapper, copying records in Tracker, adding a new element to a local database, switching EOs to a different element, integrating use of Mapper tools, and using Crystal Reports. This course is not intended as a substitution for Core Heritage Methodology training.
(Biotics Training Attendees: if you are attending both the conference and the Biotics training course, in addition to the above meals you will also receive dinner on Thursday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Friday, and breakfast and lunch on Saturday).
