Assessment of Wetland Ecosystem Condition Across Landscape Regions: A Multi-metric Approach, Part A
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

This report describes the results of NatureServe's project “Assessment of Wetland Ecosystem Conditions across Landscape Regions – a Multi-metric Approach”. The project was conducted in partnership with the natural heritage programs of Indiana and Michigan, and included assessment of roughly 360 wetland sites in those two states. Main elements of the project include examining the suitability of existing spatial datasets and classification systems as the basis for sampling design, developing and assessing metrics for various aspects of wetland condition, and synthesizing the results into an ecological integrity scoring system.
