  1.  Complete the relevant Data Security Requirements of the individual CDCs, as described in section 3.3 Certified Data User of the Parks Canada-NatureServe Canada-NatureServe Data Sharing and License Agreement 2025 (DSLA 2025).
  2. Store documentation provided by the CDCs that demonstrate that you completed their data security requirements (e.g., DLA, DUT, NDA). These are to be provided to NSC and/or NS upon request.
  3. Read the following Non-CDC Data Management Agreements:
    • PC-NSC Non-CDC Data Management Agreement 2026
    • PC-NSC iNaturalist.ca Data Management Agreement 2026
  4. Send an email to NatureServe Canada secured-data@natureserve.ca to confirm that you have:
    • Completed all relevant CDC Data Security Requirements as per DSLA 2025
    • Read and agree to the terms of the two PC-NSC DMAs (listed in step 3 above).
  5. Create your Explorer Pro account If you have not already, go to the public facing “create account” page and create your account using your PC email address.
  6. Send an email to your PC Biotics lead (biotics@pc.gc.ca), to confirm you have completed all steps required to access PC Biotics, PC Explorer Pro and Geodatabase. Ensure you send this from your PC email account that was used to complete the NatureServe Data Use Training and to create your Explorer Pro account.

Note that it can take several days before your login credentials for PC Pro and Geodatabase, and PC Biotics platforms are sent to you and become activated.
