Emily is a vegetation ecologist with over 7 years of experience conducting ecological research, field-based data collection and analysis, spatial data analysis, and project management. Before joining NatureServe, she worked at as a Plant Ecologist and Volunteer Coordinator for Boulder County Parks and Open Space. She holds a Master of Science in Behavior, Evolution, and Conservation from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland, with a research focus on evolutionary ecology, a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, both from the University of Arizona. Emily currently resides in Boulder, CO and in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, identifying plants and mushrooms, snowboarding, speaking French and Spanish, and spending time with her family.
